How do I become a community member?

Step 1: Complete a Membership Request

This should only take a few minutes. After this is done, wait for a response from us. Check your spam folder. We might text you as well. If secondnature is in the coming week, we will process your membership request within a day or so, but if it's not then it may take a few days/week.

Step 2: Once you receive a membership approval email, log-in

Look out for an email from us letting you know that you are now a secondnature community member. Once you login, make sure to use the email that you used when completing your membership application.

Step 3: Buy A Ticket

After logging into your account, you'll have the option to purchase tickets for any future secondnature event, as long as they haven't sold out. Typically, our events sell out several days in advance.

Why do I have to become a community member to buy tickets?

We prioritize safer spaces on our dance floors, so we want to make sure those who want to buy tickets to our events are on board with that mission.

Can I buy tickets for friends or guests?

Yes. You are responsible for the behavior of your guest.

Why can’t I buy tickets even though I’m logged in?

If you have attended an event as someone else’s guest, you will still need to submit your own membership request to purchase tickets directly.

When completing the membership request form, please note that you previously attended as a guest, and include the name of the member who purchased your ticket and the event you attended. This helps us review your request more efficiently.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Yes. You are responsible for the behavior of your guest.

Do tickets ever become available after an event sells out?

Yes! People always bail at the 11th hour for many reasons. If an event sells out, sign up via the waitlist link which is on the event page.

I was just approved as a member, however this event is out of my budget.

We use a tiered ticketing system, with prices typically ranging from $25 to $45.

If cost is a barrier, there are a few ways to still attend:

1. Volunteering
We always need help with event set-up or teardown. Set-up volunteers receive free entry. Teardown positions are paid. If you are interested in volunteering, reach out and let us know your availability.

2. Sponsored tickets
Our events often operate on thin margins, but we believe that lack of funds should not be a barrier. If you need a sponsored ticket, email us with the following information:

  • Your full name
  • Whether you need one or two tickets
  • How much you are able to contribute
  • If requesting two tickets, the full name and email address of your guest

If you have the capacity to give a little extra, there is an optional tip at checkout. Your support helps keep tickets accessible.

Technical Issues

I received an email that my membership was approved. However, when I go to an event page, I can't buy tickets.

If there isn't a message at the top of the event page saying "Waitlist is Open", then contact us via the form below.

I went to secondnature years ago, but I'm unable to login.

Complete a membership request and let us know which event(s) you've been to in the past when completing the form.
